Meet us

Roelof was born in Claremont in Cape Town in 1965. He completed his schooling at Groote Schuur High in Cape Town, before attending the University of Cape Town, earning his B-Com degree. Roelof qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 after completing his articles at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law at the University of Cape Town. Roelof is a sports enthusiast and loves a round of golf, being a handicap of 11. He attends most rugby games at Newlands Stadium, and is actively involved at the Hamiltons Rugby Club in Green Point. Roelof has been involved in the tourism and hospitality industry since 1995.

Johadrie was born in Pretoria. She grew up in Namibia and completed her schooling at Windhoek High School in Windhoek. She moved to Cape Town in 2006 and starting her studies in Hotel Management where she earned her Diplomas for Hotel Management and Food and Beverage Management.  She joined Village & Life in 2006, and worked in De Waterkant Village for a year and half. She moved to the Waterfront Village in 2007. Johadrie lives in Cape Town with her husband.

Liezl has been with Village & Life since 2007. She was born in Fort Beaufort and attended school in Somerset West at Parel Vallei High School. After School, Liezl achieved her National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting at Stellenbosch . She left for the UK a few months after that and worked in London for 2 years at Blackstone Investment Company as accountant.  While in the UK she did a lot of travelling and definitely found the ‘travel bug’.  Liezl loves to ride horses, read, explore the country and spend time with friends and family.

Valencia grew up in the heart of Cape Town and attended Heideveld Senior Secondary School. She started her career in the hotel industry in 1998 in the Breede Vallley and moved to Cape Town five years later where she worked in Food and Beverage and Front Office until she joined Village & Life in 2008. She is an outdoor person and enjoys camping and spending time with her kids and family.  

Michelle grew up in Bellville and completed her high school at Bellville High School. Her hospitality career began at The Mount Nelson Hotel where she spent 12 years at the company. The glitz and glamour of the industry always intrigued her and she then joined Village & Life in 2006 where she took her career to the next level. Michelle is married and have 2 wonderful boys. She has a great love for classical music and continues playing the cello which is so soothing after a hard days work.
